Software Development Manager

Are you experienced in managing Software Development teams utilizing Agile approach? Would you like working on large international e-commerce projects?

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage teams of software engineers of different levels. Evaluate performance and provide feedback
  • Work with product management and senior engineers to deliver commitments on time in a quality-driven manner
  • Coordinate development project with other teams and development managers
  • Work closely with architects and senior technical leadership to ensure that best practices and strategic goals are incorporated into development work
  • Be a catalyst for individual engineer’s personal and professional development and develop growth opportunities across wider organization
  • Keep constant communication and work with senior management to remove roadblocks and capture opportunities
  • Be the “go-to” person on all development, mentor more junior developers and help them learn
  • Set up priorities for different activities in a fast paced environment
  • Guide, mentor, motivate, and develop direct reports
  • Organize and facilitate daily standups, planning meetings, demos, project and team retrospectives, and otherwise promote continuous improvement process
  • Track team KPIs, focus on team health, and remove obstacles to provide a positive work environment and help the team understand how they are doing
  • Mentor team members on Kanban / Scrum and Lean / Agile principles and responsibilities
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 2+ years of management experience, leading 5+ engineers
  • Experience managing Agile teams
  • Excellent knowledge of Web platforms and technologies
  • Strong problem-solving and motivational skills
  • Strong people and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent ability to facilitate discussion and conflict resolution

Salary range: 2 500 - 4 500 EUR gross (before taxes)
